I'm having a hard time playing offsuit ragged Aces. Like - not as in, I'm losing with them - as in, I keep folding them preflop. A9 offsuit even, unless I'm in the button or cutoff.
I don't know what the deal is. I guess it will run its course. At least I'm not getting out-kicked.

Saturday, February 07, 2009 7:10:00 PMA9 offsuit knocked me out tonight in a league tournament game. I had JQ diamonds. Flop comes AT diamonds and T hearts. I am short stacked SB goes all in, we are head to head. No diamonds come but JT offsuit on the turn and river. So t's full of A's beats T's full of J's.- Shelly said...
Tuesday, February 10, 2009 12:53:00 PMI guess my fear is that even when I hit my Ace, with a blah kicker, there's just no way to know if it's good without risking too many chips for that value of a hand... I bet you'd have rathered it be me at the table, folding that A9 off!
